"Changes 2010”

Spring 2010 marks many changes for Jim Gino. In March -- after 11 years, he departs ProConsult to pursue a different career and early this spring he became a father! Congratulations to Jim and Laura on their new son, John. Jim will be making a "cameo appearance" on occasional projects, hence the name “Consultant Emeritus.”

Jim has worked in consulting, training, and programming roles; he is a certified Mac OS X Server specialist. Wearing his second hat, he has performed a significant portion of the firm's FileMaker programming. Jim is a member of several professional organizations, including the Apple Consultants Network (ACN) and FMDiSC (FileMaker Developers in Southern California). He joined Productivity Consulting in 1999.

Jim is a Southern California native and a 1992 graduate of Dartmouth College with a Chemistry major. After eighteen months of intensive training with the US Naval Nuclear Power program, he served three and half years aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln, leaving the Navy in 1997 as a Lieutenant. Jim credits the year he spent traveling the world after leaving the Navy with greatly influencing his way of thinking and recommends it for all Americans. He is also recently married and highly recommends that too. He continues to travel and will be an avid amateur athlete as long as his knees will let him.
